Sigh

I got up this morning, lots of ideas rolling around in my head about brand,
my work ethic, hard focuses on what I do best, how I can offer
clients/customers value not drivel.

I'm inching closer to a mission statement or two. I was all good stuff,
great brainstorming and really hard to curtail in order to get ready for
work.

But get to work (thanks to my lovely partner), I did and I was still
feeling that positive percolating feeling that comes when one feels
energized, on the trail to making something good happen).

And then my boss, bless his heart comes over to my desk and asks me to redo this silly piddly ass map project that he's been roped into. At best it's busy work, foisted on him because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and I, as his employee, by extension am the recipient of this useless idiot task which demeans both of us.

Immediately I started feeling angry (At whom? My boss? Nah, he's in the
same sorry spot I am. Most likely, I'm mad at me.). But anger is counter
productive on a Thursday morning when you have no other prospects, a large mortgage and a preexisting medical condition. So, instead, I've just finished stuffing my face with my drug of choice: Six girl scout cookies, Thin Mints to be precise.

And let me tell you they felt pretty darn good going down.

Back to busy work.

More Business Ideas

Sometimes a little adversity pulls us to our best potential. My sister Gina just moved to England and found that the her apartment's managment company furnished her 2 bed/one bath very badly. I asked her to think about how she could use her current situation in her future marketing materials:
----------------------------------------
"Here I was, newly transplanted to my dream job and city and ready to settle down into hip, tony digs right astride the Thames. Imagine my dismay when I was sideswiped by one of the worst sins one can commit against a creative class individual: I was cursed with an apartment filled with ugly, non-matching furnishings.

For an interior decoratorista like me, it was a huge blow...my heart just sank; I simply wanted to cry when I opened the door. The place was populated with totally uncool furniture worthy of a tacky warehouse closeout sale.

Even though my loyal letting agent tried to plead my case, the mismatched grouping of hideous castoff's remained...and I knew that Providence had given me my Mission: To turn an eyesore into an enchanted oasis.

It wasn't easy becoming a home decorating trailblazer in a foreign land *and* on a budget but I did it and now with my help you can too! Just follow these simple principles below...

1., 2., 3., 4., etc...

That's all there is to it. Stick to the steps and you'll achieve *high vogue* in no time.

Not one for getting your hands dirty? Give me a call and we can set up a consultation. If it's stylish digs you want, you've come to the right place!"

IF there is anyone who can transform a bad apartment into a home, it's Gi. She could be the next Thom Filicia of the expatriot set!

A Ramp Up into my Eight Year

In numerology, Eight means business, literally. Eight vibrations give one a chance to jump into the flow of life...to really engage oneself and one's creative energies fully.

Next year I head into my eight year and right now in October I feel the pull. On my plane ride to Tempe, I found myself drawn into a writing fugue after reading my new subscription of Fast Company. I literally felt like I could not write fast enough to get all the stuff pouring out of my head down.

The good thing was that, after landing I reread what I had written and a good portion of it wasn't drivel! Is this the year that my weird little niche personality will find it's best materialistic expression?

Fingers and toes are crossed.
